The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and driven Principal Data Consultant to join our growing consultancy, to lead solution design, project delivery, and client integration.

You will draw from experience and knowledge across multiple industries, platforms, and methodologies to design and deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.  Your approach will inspire colleagues and bring knowledge, energy, and drive into the delivery process. You will collaborate with Intuita's BI and Analytics teams to ensure we regularly exceed client expectations across the board.

As a key player within an already experienced and talented team, you are expected to provide clarity of thinking, thought leadership, project ownership and a flair for driving an exceptionally high standard of delivery.

This role provides an exciting development path with exposure to each level of our organisation and opportunities to experience all elements of the project lifecycle, from inception, scoping and pricing through to delivery and strategic planning.

Key Outputs

  • Solution leadership: Ability to take full ownership of significant and complex client solutions, and work with internal team members to manage the delivery quality and timeliness.
  • Stakeholder relationship: Building deep and meaningful relationships with client stakeholders and acting as their key point of contact for solution designs and outcomes.
  • Solution design: Taking ownership of developing, driving, and presenting solution design, working flexibly to support changing client demands, priorities, and resource constraints
  • Requirement’s definition: Ability to understand the client’s need transforming them into compelling requirements and to present back requirements to get stakeholder buy in.
  • Hands-on data delivery:  
    • Data analysis – assessing the suitability of existing and potential new data for use
    • Data modelling – designing effective, efficient data models to support various types of data exploitation (reporting, analytics, predictive modelling) both cloud and on-prem
    • Prototyping – building data prototypes to act as solid foundations for exploitation (SQL)
    • Governance – Data governance, security & privacy principles, leading, documenting and constantly challenging best-practise with clients and internal colleagues

Skills and experience required to fulfil the role

  • Ability to analyse, design, and build data solutions using SQL across multiple platforms
  • Preferable experience with AWS, GCP and/or Azure
  • Strong data background with proven experience delivering projects and working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Experience with architectural principles, data management approaches and data governance
  • An understanding of data culture within a business setting
  • Sound knowledge of data protection and GDPR
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban)
